(Pediatric) Kids Physiotherapy
- What is Pediatric Physiotherapy?
Pediatric or Kids Physiotherapy is a specialized field of physiotherapy that engages in treatment of children between 0-18 years of age.
- What does a Pediatric Physiotherapist do?
The most important element is determining “what is right and most suitable” to the child and the family’s needs. It typically involves a thorough, objective and functional assessment which assesses a child’s gross motor, fine motor, language-social and cognitive skills. Using it as a baseline, the therapist attentively speaks and listens to the child, family members and care-givers to formulate a Tailored treatment plan based on functional goals, and identified areas of needs.
The therapist will carry out periodic reassessments to monitor the child’s progress and accordingly modify the treatment plan.
- Who do we Treat?
The conditions cover not only the pediatric age group of 0-18 years but go beyond 18 years to engage in treatment of variety of conditions:

- Early Intervention:
It is a specialized program catering to babies and neonates who had a risk factor just before or after birth. This program provides early identification and developmental services for infants and toddlers, ages birth to three with a developmental delay or disability, and their families.
- Feeding therapy
Caregivers face more issues feeding a child with special needs commonly leading to inability to provide the nutrition needed for the growing child. This treatment focuses on a thorough Feeding evaluation followed by treatment plan to suit the child’s needs. It may also be aided by suggestion of special equipment for feeding the child.
